Hillsborough is the largest of the towns this Somerville location serves, 55 square miles of Somerset County with 43,276 people at the 2020 census. Its population nearly quadrupled between 1960 and 1990, and most of its houses date from those growth years and the decade after.
The township received its royal charter in 1771 and was incorporated with New Jersey's first townships in 1798. For most of that history it was farmland running east from the Sourland Mountain, with villages such as Flagtown, Neshanic, South Branch, Woods Tavern and Belle Mead along the roads. Somerville and Raritan sit across the Raritan River, Branchburg across the South Branch, Manville and Millstone along the Millstone, Franklin on the far bank of that river, and Montgomery to the south. Our plenum looks like foil-covered board, not metal. Can it be cleaned?
Usually, if it is dry and intact. Fiberglass duct board gets a gentler method than sheet metal, and torn facing gets sealed or the section replaced. If the board has ever been wet or shows growth, it should be replaced rather than cleaned.
Our townhouse association handles the roof. Can you still clean our dryer vent?

We are on a well with a treatment system in the basement. Does that change the visit?
